Works closely with school administrators, school boards, and other relevant educational personnel to provide instruction, monitors students’ performance, and manages the learning environment.
Responsibilities and Duties

To collaborate with the academic coordinator and other teachers for planning both vertically and
horizontally
To collaborate with other teachers from multiple disciplines to plan, teach and implement curriculums and instructions in more than one academic area for the improvision of student’s performance. This can be examplified implementing the TOK in their subjects and in their approaches to teaching and learning.
To supervise students when they’re taking part in writing extended essays about their subjects.
To plan and coordinate learning activities, both indoors and outdoors, with appropriate challenge
and high expectations and to develop students’ curiosity and knowledge
To plan opportunities to develop the social, emotional and cultural aspects of students’ learning
To take the responsibility for planning appropriate learning activities for all students in the
designated class
To ensure that the student experience a broad, balanced, relevant and stimulating learning
experience
To motivate and stimulate the students’ learning abilities, encouraging learning through hands
on activities
To creatively devise and produce visual aids and teaching resources with the integration of
technology
To promote the development of students’ basic skills including: physical coordination, speech
and communication, personal social and language abilities
To identify students’ needs and cater for these with the help of the learning support unit
teachers
To organize and manage groups or individual students, ensuring differentiation of learning needs
reflective of all abilities
To create and manage a caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating classroom environment
(indoor & outdoor) which is conducive to students’ learning
To create essential agreements with students to regulate the class and promote a collaborative
reflective class culture, reflective of the IB learner profile
To maintain good class order among students and use of resources
To arrange for resources, equipment and materials to be available in such a way that they are
properly cared for, easily accessible and will encourage the students to become more responsible
for their own learning
To maintain a high standard of display work & working walls both in the classroom and in other
areas of the school
To regularly observe and record evidence of students’ progress according to school regulations
and policies
To provide reports to parents as per school policies
To prepare appropriate records for the transfer of students among year groups
To communicate and consult with parents over all aspects of their children’s academic, social and
emotional development
To attend staff meetings, year group meetings and other training and developmental sessions,
and to take part in joint decision making about educational issues
To ensure that school policies are reflected in daily practice and to promote the ethos of the
school
To promote the welfare of the students and to support the school in safeguarding students through relevant policies and procedures
To take reasonable care of self and others and to comply with the School’s Code of Conduct
and any school-specific procedures (indoor & outdoor)
To participate in students’ observation duty time as assigned by the school administration
To communicate with students in language of instruction at all times
To organize and take part in school events, outings and extra -curricular activities which may take
place at weekends or in the evening
Qualifications AND SKILLS
List of the qualifications that are necessary for someone to fill this position.
3 years of teaching experience in an accredited international curriculum school "preferably an IB
school" with a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
Preferably an experience in a Diploma Program (DP).
Have at least five (5) years of excellent experience in teaching.
Has excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
Time Management
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
Demonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications.
